Springtime in Rochester

It’s finally spring here in Rochester! This is my favorite time of year and I am so excited for warm weather and longer days.

Here are 5 ways to enjoy springtime in Rochester, NY:

1. Rochester Public Market

Take a stroll through the Rochester Public Market and pick up some locally sourced fruit and vegetables. While you’re at it pick out some plants for your soon to be lush garden and don’t forget to stop at one of the many food stands for lunch. The Public Market is open year around, but i find it most enjoyable in the spring and summer.

2. Walk through Hyland Park or Mt. Hope Cemetery

Enjoy the florals in bloom. Mt. Hope Cemetery and Hyland Park have a wide variety of beautiful plants that are looking their very best in spring.

3. Sit outside at your favorite restaurant

Pick a sunny day and partake in some outdoor dining. Here are a few of my favorite patios: Aladdin’s in Pittsford, Napa Wood Fired Pizza, Trata, Victoire, Hatties at the Strathallan.

4. Attend a festival

Lilac Festival and Rochester Cocktail Revival both occur in May and are worth checking out. Rochester Real Beer Week is in early June and is great for beer lovers.

5. Cobbs Hill

Take a walk at Cobbs Hill and enjoy the beautiful view of the city.

Now get out and explore!
